The eligibility and criteria for each award is designed to assist you in identifying a category and "sharing your story". The committee will not know names of people or facilities, so the description of the story is important.

IAHSA considers all nominees to be winners. At the Awards Luncheon on September 16th, each person, program, and service will be recognized. Please plan on attending and sharing in this special event with your nominees and staff.

Top 6 Tips for a Successful Award Nomination

«Please read the criteria carefully so you nominate in the correct category.

«Don’t nominate more than one person/program per category – you force your nominees to compete against each other.

«“Tell a story” with concrete examples of your nominee’s service.

«If you have an awards program at your facility, don’t hesitate to nominate those individuals.

«A picture is worth a 1,000 words. Try to submit at least one photograph of your nominee.

«Take time to proofread your submission. Make sure the spelling and punctuation is correct.
